With the High temperatures over the coming days, play your part in preventing wildfires and help to reduce the risks of fire by keeping the following in mind:
No barbeques or outdoor fires in forests. Use only designated barbecue points where available. Thoroughly soak BBQ embers after use and make sure that they are extinguished completely
Landowners must follow restrictions on land burning
Park responsibly – Do not block forest entrances or roads when parking – access may be required by the emergency services or forestry personnel in the event of an emergency.
If you see a fire: Call 112 or 999 immediately, move to a safe location, and follow emergency
Do not approach fires or attempt to extinguish fires yourself. Wildfires can be extremely dangerous and can rapidly change direction and behavior.
